Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23 AMP
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it. (Proverbs 18:21 AMP)
For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced. (Matthew 12:37 AMP)
If we confess faith-filled words, rather than doubtful words. You will experience the effects of your words because they will manifest in the physical.
Faith-filled Words | Doubtful Words |
I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ | I am defeated. |
I believe I receive my healing for the high blood pressure. | I’m not feeling well. |
I am wonderfully made by God. | I’m just a nobody. |
God loves me. | Nobody cares about me. |
God blesses me. | I’m hanging in there. |
I have the victory through Jesus Christ. | God is not answering my prayers. |
The joy of the Lord is my strength. | I’m feeling sad because . . . |
When we confess words out of our mouth, we are sowing seeds. Positive confessions yield positive actions and results. Negative confessions yield negative actions and results. Therefore, it is essential that we watch what we say because “you shall have what you say.” You shall reap what you sow.
All actions begin with thoughts. As we continue to purify our thoughts by renewing our minds through the Word of God, we will see and experience positive actions in our lives, and sow positive actions in others lives.
Renewing our mind through the Word of God means reading, studying and meditating on the Word daily. In doing so, we will reach higher spiritual heights in God, and grow closer to God. A closer walk with God yields revelation, knowledge, and wisdom.
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing the Word of Truth. (II Timothy 2:15 AMP)

As born-again, Spirit filled believers, our stepping in to the overflow of God’s Glory and walking in it daily doesn’t just happen automatically. No. In fact, it’s possible that we could stand in the middle of the greatest outpouring of God’s Glory this world has ever seen, and just watch it pass us by, never experiencing a drop of it. What you and I experience in these days of overflow comes down to or mouths. That’s right, the degree of overflow you and I experience in our lives these last of the last days will be determined by our mouths. It will be the result of the words we speak. You see, you and I are where we are right now because of the words we spoke yesterday …and the day before that … and the day before that. That’s simply the way God created us. The words we speak day after day carry the same degree of force behind them as the words God Himself speaks – even the same force as the Word that came out of His mouth and created the universe.
All the overflow in Jesus’ life and ministry did not begin manifesting until He began speaking the Word of God – not His own words, but God’s Word (John 12:47-50) As believers, however, you and I now have God’s Word to speak and God’s Anointing with which to speak it. . . . Our future is up to us, and it’s all based on the words that we use to “bringeth forth” things – words to “bringeth forth good things,” or words to “bringeth forth evil things.”
I am the prophet of my own life. My words – and God’s Word – in my life determine my future. They determine my health, my wealth and my place in eternity. My faith-filled words are alive and full of power. They are enriched -–they are backed – by the Anointing of God, the very power that created the universe. I am what the Word says I am. I can do what the Word says I can do. I can have what the Word says I can have. Out of the abundance of my Word-filled heart, my Word-filled mouth speaks. Arise and shine!
Not a sick day. Not a broke day. Not a sad day. But everyday, an overflow day!
By Kenneth Hagin – “ACT ON THE WORD”
For verily I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:23,24)
What you say is your faith speaking. Therefore, you will always have in your life
what you believe for and say.
Did you notice that the word “say” in some form is in Mark 11:23 three times, and the word “believe” is in that verse only once?
My people primarily are not missing it in their believing, for they have been taught to believe and to have faith. Where they’re missing it is in what they’re saying.
Jesus said, “When you pray, believe you receive, and you shall have it. (Mark 11:24)
Kenneth Hagin was sick and began speaking doubt, because when his friends asked “How are you feeling?” He answered “Well, some of the symptoms have come back on me. Then he remembered that when he would talk about the symptoms, from my inward man would come the words: I’m well, thank you. The Word of God says Jesus took my infirmities and bare my sicknesses. He began to change his confession.
What you say, good or bad, is your faith speaking. If you’re saying, “I’ll never make it,” you won’t. Proverbs 6:2 says “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”
The problem with many people is they’re double-minded. But the Bible says that we shouldn’t let anyone who wavers in his faith – a double-minded person – think that he will receive anything of the Lord. (James 1:5-8) That is why we must hold fast to our original confession of faith, right in the face of seeming defeat. I know: I’ve done it. I won’t tell you that it’s easy, because you have to fight your flesh and the devil to do it. But when you hold your ground and act on the Word, you will see those things, which you say come to pass.

Karmen A. Booker has been called by God to exhort and teach others the Word of God. She is the founder of Wings of Love Women’s Ministry (WLWM), which creates an atmosphere and forum where women can realize healing and spiritual growth, while cultivating their God-given gifts and ministering in their local churches and their communities and the world.
WLWM’s desire is to connect with other women who have battled abuse in their lives, and who have been held back from moving forward for whatever reason. We seek to encourage victims of abuse to go forth and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ with more commitment & boldness, knowing that through healing and restoration “the good work God has began in them He will complete.’’
She has produced ministry resources that are designed to equip and encourage women to grow in their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ, and discover and fulfill their God-given purpose for the Advancement of the Kingdom of God. Karmen, I just want to say that you have started something that is wonderful. Karmen, I’m enjoying my study this morning because I’ve been working on changing the way I speak things into my life. Karmen, this subject is right on time for me “woman of God”. I’ve been studying about saying things in to my life, and this lesson has given me a better understanding about how to speak things into my life. May God keep you and bless your going and coming.
